Ramen Noodle Bowls

Last week I had 10,000 hits on my blog and I am celebrating this new record number page views!!!

I don't feel like I'll ever be able to accurately express my level of appreciation to all of my loyal followers but I hope that you understand just how grateful I am that you take the time to look at my website.  Your response to the website continues to encourage and motivate me to continue my pursuit of this whole crazy food blogging thing.

New recipes are my jam and based on my analytics, you're searching for new and unique recipes as well.  (We're in this together people.)  Let me introduce you to my newest recipe creation: Ramen Noodle Bowls.  If you haven't ventured into world of noodle bowls - you need to jump on board.  This is a super easy and delicious way to get your feet wet in the world of noodle bowls.

Ramen Noodle Bowl
1/4 cup hoisin
3 Tablespoons soy sauce
2 teaspoons cornstarch
12 ounce pork tenderloin, sliced into 1/4 inch thick slices
2 1/4 cups chicken broth
2 Tablespoons oil
4 ounces mushrooms, sliced thin
1 Tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
2 garlic cloves, minced
3 (3 ounce) packages ramen noodles
12 ounces broccoli florets, cut into 1 inch pieces
3 scallions, sliced thin

Whisk together 1 T. hoisin, 1 T. soy sauce and cornstarch. 
Add pork and toss to coat.

Whisk together broth, 3 T. hoisin and 2 T. soy sauce.
Heat 1 T. oil in skillet.  Add mushrooms and cook until browned. (5 minutes)

Add ginger and garlic and cook 30 seconds.  Add broth and bring to a boil.  
Place noodles in single layer over broth. Cover and reduce heat to medium.

Cook 3 minutes. 
Uncover pan, use tongs to flip noodles and separate.

Scatter broccoli over top.  Cover and cook 3 more minutes. 
Divide noodles among 4 bowls.

Wipe skillet with paper towel.  Heat 1 T. oil in skillet.  Add pork and cook without stirring until browned on bottom.  
Stir and cook until pork is cooked through.  Divide pork among noodle bowls.

Top with scallions and serve.

These pictures are from Ben's ramen bowl.  My bowl looked slightly different because I left the pork out of mine.  I love meat recipes that can be easily transformed into vegetarian recipes.  One recipe that makes two very different eaters happy? - perfection.

I am really interested in eating a ramen. I even travel to different places to taste a ramen that is perfect for my store. I am waiting for more suggested areas.
