I certainly hope that you're not getting tired of New York pictures already because today, I'm going to take you on a highlight picture tour of our New York adventure.

We did so many fun things while we were in New York City but some of my favorite things were... Walking across the Brooklyn Bridge,

Touring Ellis Island

A ferry boat ride to The Statue of Liberty

Visiting the new Freedom Tower and the 911 memorial

Wandering through Wall Street

Views from the top of the Empire State Building

Times Square

Broadway Shows

Manhattan

And of course, the amazing food

We had some pretty awesome meals in New York City and it should come as no surprise that we enjoyed some incredible New York City dessert too. My friend ordered a piece of traditional New York Style cheesecake for dessert one night at Sardis and of course I couldn't pass up the opportunity to sample a bite. (After all I was in New York - eating New York cheesecake!)

It was really smooth and creamy - just like you would imagine a great cheesecake would taste like.

I tried to bring a little bit of my New York City experience back home to my family so I made them a slightly different version of the New York cheesecake this week - Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cheesecake Bars from rasamalaysia.com.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cheesecake Bars
Crust
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
8 Tablespoons melted butter

Cookie Dough
10 Tablespoons butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
2 cups chocolate chips

Cheesecake Filling
16 ounces cream cheese
1/3 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla

Combine crust ingredients and press into a greased 9x13 inch pan. Bake 6 minutes at 325.

While crust cooks, prepare cookie dough. Cream butter, sugar, brown sugar, salt and vanilla until light and fluffy.
